Xtreme Mykos

Already a big hit across the pond, Xtreme Gardening products are the retail arm of Reforestation Technologies International (RTI); the United States oldest-running and highly regarded producer of Mycorrhizal Inoculum.

Mykos is an all-natural, effective root promoter made up of pure Mycorrhizal Inoculum. Mychorizzae is shown to have many beneficial effects in a growing environment; namely providing a biological connection between the roots and the soil and extending the plants ability to search for nutrients and water.

Mycorrhizal Inoculum is a soil fungus. Once it has been applied to plant roots, this fungus will colonise the root system and carry on living for the life of the plant. The Mychorrizae spread thin fungal filaments called Hyphae from the roots through the growing environment. These filaments reach far beyond where the root hairs of the plant can reach and give the plant access to otherwise inaccessible nutrients and water.

Mycorrhizae also help protect the plant from pests and disease by naturally producing arbuscular that contain disease-suppressing phenols. Whenever a root pathogen tries attacking the root system, the arbuscular releases a fungicide to eliminate the pathogen.

Mykos has been proven to be an extremely beneficial product. Studies have shown it to increase biomass and overall yields by up to 300% and it is responsible for growing four world record-breaking vegetables.

Mykos will work with your plants to:

  • Increase nutrient uptake and nutrient availability
  • Increase drought resistance and availability of water
  • Help boost plant defence system and fight off pests and disease
  • Speed up growth and increase the overall mass/yield of your plants

Mykos can be used in both soil and hydroponic systems.
