About Pots & Trays
Choosing a pot
Plastic pots are the standard: cheap, reusable and available in every size. Fabric pots and Air-Pots air-prune the roots, so the plant grows a denser root system and is harder to overwater, at the cost of drying out faster. Net pots hold clay pebbles in hydroponic systems. Pot on in steps rather than one jump, and finish in 11 to 15 litres in coco or 15 to 25 litres in soil.
Trays and supports
A tray under the pots catches run-off and protects the floor; the 1m and 1.2m square trays fit the popular tent sizes exactly. Crop support netting, plant poles and canes go in early, before the plants need them.
