Which tray?
A square tray the size of the tent floor is the tidiest answer: every pot stands in it and every drop of run-off stays in it. The 1m and 1.2m trays fit 100x100 and 120x120 tents; the 60cm trays suit small tents and propagation, with the deep version for hand watering to run-off. The Giant Plus, Maxi and Titan trays are the big rectangular trays for rooms and benches. Flexi-Trays fold and flex to get through a tent door, then lie flat. Round saucers go under single pots.
Keep it dry
Empty run-off after watering rather than leaving pots standing in it, which invites root problems and sciarid fly. A tray with a lip deep enough for a full watering saves a lot of mopping.
