Silver Bullet Roots is a powerful, highly effective nutrient solution additive that is used in hydroponics systems to keep roots free of disease and pathogens.
The product is based on the symbiotic combination of silver and hydrogen peroxide. The silver ions are attracted to the negative charge the pathogens emit naturally, the silver then inhibits the pathogens defence mechanism and the hydrogen peroxide comes in and finishes them off.
As a by-product of the hydrogen peroxide doing its job oxygen is produced which can then be used by the plant roots - another benefit of using Silver Bullet Roots in your nutrient solution.
Silver Bullet has three main applications:
- Everyday use (to keep systems clean and free from pathogens) - For this type of use, you should add it your system at between 0.5ml-0.75ml per litre once a week throughout the plant lifecycle.
- Shock dose to treat diseased plants - For this type of application add Silver Bullet Roots to the solution at 1ml per litre.
- For flushing out systems between crops - Diluted bleach also works well for this and is cheaper but if you want to use Silver Bullet then add at a rate of 2ml per litre, flush pipes after application.
Silver Bullet does not enter the plant in any way so will not affect the taste or flavour of your crops. It has been approved by the EPA for human consumption and is safe enough to be used in drinking water treatment in various countries
If you have tried to go down the friendly bacteria route in a hydroponic system and found that it was not effective, then give this product a try. It's highly effective, non-toxic and sensibly priced.

Delivery Information
Most orders are shipped within 24 hours.
Orders are currently shipped with Parcelforce (Express 24 service for standard and heavy/bulky items) or DPD Local (Premium next-day), a signature will be required on delivery. We have been shipping orders for 15 years and our courier choices are subject to change as service levels fluctuate.
All orders are shipped on a next day courier service – you will be informed via email or SMS the evening your order leaves us so you know to expect it the next day. On the morning of delivery you will get another SMS or email informing you of the expected delivery time.

As the website calculates some charges by weight it is possible that shipping is not calculated correctly. We reserve the right to get in touch in these circumstances we will request the additional amount or offer to refund the order.
UK Delivery
Standard delivery to the UK Mainland addresses (excluding Scottish Highlands & Islands, offshore and N.I.) is charged at a flat rate of just £5.95 per order or £7.95 (for the premium next-day service), standard delivery (with Parcelforce) is free* for orders over £50.
*Large and/or heavy items attact a surcharge from our courier - shipping surcharges are calculated per item and are applied regardless of order value.
Non-UK mainland destinations are charged by weight.

Collect in Store (Bristol)
We now offer a 'collect in store' option, which allows you to pay for goods online and collect from our Bristol store at time that suits you (within our opening hours).
The process is simple:
- place your order and pay online, select 'Pick Up' at checkout;
- receive an email confirming that the order is ready for collection;
- bring/show your confirmation email and photo ID to collect your order.
