Which size for which tent?

As a rule of thumb: 150 to 200W for a 60cm tent, 300W for 80 to 100cm, 480W for 100 to 120cm, 660 to 720W for a 120cm tent, and two or more 720W fixtures for 1.2m x 2.4m and above. Dimmable fixtures such as the Varidrive and Daylight PRO let you run one light low over seedlings and cuttings and turn it up in flower. Why LED over HPS?

A modern LED puts out more light per watt than a 600W HPS and far less heat, so extraction can be smaller and the light can hang closer to the canopy. It lasts for years without lamp changes. The trade-off is the price of the fixture, which the electricity saving pays back over time.
