About Flush Products
Why flush
In the last week or two, plants are given plain water or a flush product instead of feed, so they use up the nutrients stored in the leaves and the medium and finish clean. A flush product speeds this up by binding the salts in the medium so they wash out, which matters most in coco and in pots that have been fed hard. Canna Flush, Flawless Finish, Flush Finish and FlashClean all do this; Vitalink Finale is a finishing product for the last weeks rather than a wash.
Mid-cycle rescue
A flush also fixes a nutrient lock-out or an overfed plant: run a flush product through the pot until water runs freely from the base, wait a day, then restart feeding at a lower strength. ATA Clean, for cleaning the system itself, is under Nutrient Management.
