About Carbon Filters and Air Fresheners
Choosing a carbon filter
Match the filter to the fan. The filter's rating in m³/h should equal or exceed the fan's output, and the flange (100, 125, 150, 200, 250 or 315mm) must be the same size as the fan and ducting. A filter that is too small for the fan lets air through too fast to be scrubbed. The fan and carbon filter sizing guide matches fan and filter to each tent size.
Rhino Pro is the filter we recommend most: premium RC412 carbon and a working life of up to two years. Rhino Hobby uses the same design with a lighter carbon bed for smaller rooms and shorter runs. CAN Lite filters are light, well made and good value; CAN inline filters suit installations where the filter sits in the duct run.
Fitting and running
Hang the filter inside the tent at the top, where the warm air collects, pull air through it with the fan and out through the ducting. Replace the pre-filter sleeve when it clogs and the filter itself when smell starts to escape. ONA gel and blocks neutralise odour in the room the air exhausts into.
