Getting humidity right

Cuttings and seedlings want 70 per cent or more; growing plants 50 to 70; flowering plants 40 to 50, dropping to 40 or below in the final weeks to keep mould away. Extraction sets the baseline; a humidifier or dehumidifier holds it there when the room won't.

Dehumidifiers

The RAM 12L and 20L are compact units for a tent or small room; the figure is the litres they pull out of the air in a day. The Quest overhead dehumidifiers are commercial units that hang from the ceiling, duct their dry air where you want it and remove far more water per unit of electricity. Quest parts and controllers are stocked too.

Humidifiers

SonicAir humidifiers use ultrasonic plates to make a fine mist for propagation rooms and dry winter air, with the Pro version for bigger rooms; the AC Infinity Cloudforge range is app-controlled. Pair either with a G.A.S humidity controller so the unit switches itself on and off at the setting you choose.
