House & Garden Feed Chart: Aqua Flakes and Cocos Week by Week

This is the House & Garden feed chart for House & Garden Aqua Flakes and House & Garden Cocos, week by week. The doses are House & Garden's US figures, per US gallon of RO water, with ml per litre added for the products we sell; where our pages differ, we say so. The chart runs from cuttings through two weeks of growth and eight of flowering, then a 3-5 day flush.

How to read the chart

For ml (or grams) per litre, we divide by 3.785, the litres in a US gallon, to one decimal. For the base, the chart offers two-part liquids or three-part powders; we sell two of the liquids: Aqua Flakes, for hydroponics (its page says run-to-waste rockwool and recirculating NFT systems), and Cocos, for coco.

The chart gives pH ranges and no EC (see our pH and EC meters guide): Aqua 5.7-5.9, Cocos 5.8-6.3, Soil 5.8-6.3. It assumes RO water and lists CalMag only with the powder base, not with the liquid A and B: see our reverse osmosis and cal-mag guides.

  • Multi Zen: the maker's sheet calls it Multi Zen (Multizyme). We list Multi Enzymes and are confirming they are the same product; the chart dose, 1.0 ml per litre, is our page's rate.
  • Drip Clean runs throughout. Its page recommends it for drip and gravity-fed systems such as IWS dripper systems and Autopots, to prevent blockages (see our dripper systems guide and Autopot guide).

Chart dose or our page's dose?

Chart doses divided by 3.785, beside the rate on our product pages. Base feeds: neither source says whether the figure is per part or for A and B together.

House & Garden PK 13/14Not on the chartUp to 1.5 ml per litre

Our Amino Treatment page gives more and Top Shooter's less, and the base feeds cannot be compared (see the caption): go by your label.

PK 13/14 is not on the chart. Its page and Top Booster's both give 3-4 days, about 3 weeks before harvest; Top Booster's page says it contains the PK 13-14 mix plus Eddha-Fe iron, and the chart puts Top Booster in flower week 5. Use one or the other that week, not both: our PK boosters guide advises one PK booster at a time.

How to mix a House & Garden feed

  1. Start with the water.
  2. Add Amino Treatment first, from veg week 1 to flower week 3: its page says to add it before any other nutrients and mix it in well.
  3. Add part A, circulate, then part B: the Cocos page says not to add them at the same time.
  4. Add the other additives one at a time, stirring between each.
  5. Check the EC, then the pH last, adjusting with Growth Technology pH Down or Growth Technology pH Up a few drops at a time.

Quick answers

How much Aqua Flakes per litre?

On the chart, converted: 0.7 ml per litre for cuttings, rising to 2.5 ml in flower week 4, then 2.4 ml in flower week 5 and 2.0 ml for the last three weeks of flowering. Neither the chart nor our page (up to 4 ml per litre of A and B, guided by an EC pen) says whether that is for each part or for A and B together: check your label.

Is there a House & Garden coco feed chart?

This is it: Cocos shares its row with Aqua Flakes, with the pH at 5.8-6.3. Our Cocos page suggests approximately 5 ml per litre; neither it nor the chart says whether that is for each part or for A and B together, so check your label. See our coco coir guide.

How much Roots Excelurator per litre?

0.3 ml per litre, its page says, and the chart agrees (1 ml per US gallon), from cuttings to flower week 3. See our root stimulants guide.

Top Shooter or Shooting Powder?

Choose one, the chart says, for flower weeks 6-8; both pages say the last 3 weeks of flowering. Our Top Shooter page gives 1 ml per 2 litres (0.5 ml per litre), against the chart's 1.5 ml in weeks 7 and 8, so go by your label. Our Shooting Powder page gives one sachet per 100 litres but no sachet weight, so the chart's grams cannot be turned into sachets.
