Description

A two-part base nutrient for run to waste rockwool and NFT re-circulating systems.

Aqua Flakes is composed of liquid nutrients and trace elements and contains no bulking agents which make the transfer from the root zone to the plant easier. Contains Eddha-Fe (iron) which enables the plants to absorb the nutrients easily.

Dilute at a rate of up to 4ml/l of A and B (but as with all hydroponic nutrient solutions you should be guided by an EC pen).

How to use

Add part A to the water and mix it in well, then add the same amount of part B. Never mix the two parts together neat.

House & Garden give a dose of up to 4 ml per litre of each part. As with any hydroponic feed, let an EC meter be your guide: start lower with young plants and build up as they grow.

  • In NFT systems, check the EC and pH of the tank every day or two and top up as it drops.
  • On rockwool, run to waste and check the EC of the run-off now and then.

A pH and EC meter is the one tool you really need with this feed.

Questions

What is the dose of Aqua Flakes?

Up to 4 ml per litre of part A and the same of part B. Use an EC meter to judge the strength, and start lower for young plants.

Can I use Aqua Flakes in coco?

It is made for rockwool and NFT systems. For coco, House & Garden make Cocos A & B, which has less potassium to suit the medium.

Why is it called Flakes if it is a liquid?

The name is House & Garden's. The product is a liquid concentrate in two parts, A and B.
