Why XL
A 25 litre pot gives a plant the root room for a long vegetative period or a large final size, and holds more water between refills. The larger tray means the AquaValve tops up less often. Everything else is the standard Autopot system: gravity feed from the tank, the plant drinks what it needs, no run-off, no timer.
Setting one up
A free-draining mix is essential in a pot this size: coco with 30 per cent perlite, or 60/40 clay pebbles and coco. Hand water for the first two weeks, then connect the valve and feed at a modest EC. Larger systems benefit from an air stone in the tank to keep the solution fresh; that and the valves, pipe and fittings are under Autopot Accessories.
