About Flexitanks & Buckets
Flexitanks
A Flexitank is a folding reservoir with a rigid frame that stores a large volume of solution in a tent or a corner and packs flat when the crop is done. Sizes run from a small tank for a single tent up to room-sized reservoirs. The Pro version uses a heavier material for long-term use. The tap fits the tank outlet and can be replaced on its own.
Black buckets with lids
A black bucket with a lid keeps light out of the solution so algae can't grow. Use them to mix feed, to store RO water, as the tank for a small system, or as the base of a deep water culture bucket with a net pot in the lid. Black, not white or clear: light in the water means algae and warm roots.
Tank hygiene
Keep tanks covered, change the solution weekly, aerate it and rinse the tank between changes. Line cleaners for the pipework are under Nutrient Management.
