Description
Canna Terra is a nutrient designed for use in soil that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
As with all of the Canna nutrients, it can produce good results although it is also easy to lock-up your plants so we would recommend a less is more application.
It is also advisable to use a light mix soil with minimal fertiliser as this will give you greater control over the quantity of food your plants receive. If you are using fertilised soil such as Biobizz Allmix or Plagron Batmix then remember to allow for this when making a nutrient solution, again think less is more.
However, with those cautions aside this is one of the best soil feeds on the market and can be seriously productive once you get the feeding levels right for your plants.

How to use
Use Terra Vega from rooting through the vegetative phase, then switch to Terra Flores for flowering. You use one or the other, never both in the same week. CANNA give their doses in ml per 10 litres of water; divide by ten for ml per litre.
- Terra Vega: 32 to 49 ml per 10 litres for the first five days, 45 to 62 ml to day 25, and 54 to 71 ml in the first two weeks after the lights go to 12 hours.
- Terra Flores: 57 to 76 ml per 10 litres from week 3 to week 7, then 34 to 53 ml in week 8.
- Week 9: no base feed.
Go easy. Canna feeds work well, but it is easy to overdo them and lock up the plant, so start at the low end and think less is more. A lightly fertilised soil, such as Canna Terra Professional Plus, gives you the most control. If you are using a pre-fertilised soil such as Biobizz All Mix, allow for the food already in it and feed lighter still.
The week-by-week doses, the additives and the EC to aim for are in the Canna Terra feed chart. A pH and EC meter lets you check each feed.
Questions
Do I need Terra Vega and Terra Flores?
Yes, if you are growing a plant through to flowering. Vega is the growth feed and Flores the flowering feed. CANNA's schedule switches from one to the other in week 3, when flowering is under way.
Can I use Canna Terra in a pre-fertilised soil?
Yes, but allow for the food already in the soil and use less. A light soil with little fertiliser gives you the most control over what the plant gets.
Is CANNA's dose per litre or per 10 litres?
CANNA print their doses per 10 litres of water. Divide by ten for per litre: 57 to 76 ml per 10 litres is 5.7 to 7.6 ml per litre.
