Description
Humidity is an important factor of any growing space, and one that is often overlooked.
Too dry, and plants will transpire more water through their leaves, which in turn causes them to draw up more nutrients through their roots. This can cause burning on the leaves.
Too humid, and the opposite happens. The plants cannot get enough water and nutrients in. Mould is also a major concern at high humidity levels.
The Intelligent Humidity Controller monitors humidity and temperature levels, and adjusts according to the Vapour Pressure Deficit (VPD).
A high-tech piece of equipment, the Intelligent Humidity Controller calculates the VPD of the leaves and maintains the correct humidity levels, according to the temperature in the growing space, as well as the growth stage of the plants.

How to use
Plug your humidifier into the controller and set it up. It reads the temperature and humidity, works out the VPD (vapour pressure deficit) at the leaf, and runs the humidifier to keep the right humidity for the temperature and the plants' stage of growth. Day and night settings let you run different targets.
The SonicAir Pro version is made for the SonicAir Pro humidifier and is powered through it, so it needs no extra socket. Read more in our VPD chart.
Questions
Why control humidity by VPD?
Too dry and plants transpire more and draw up more nutrients, which can burn the leaves. Too humid and they cannot take in enough water and nutrients, and mould becomes a risk. VPD links the right humidity to the temperature.
Will it work with my humidifier?
The standard controller works with any humidifier. The SonicAir Pro version is for the G.A.S SonicAir Pro.
