How to use
Push the air stone onto the end of a length of airline, connect the other end to an air pump such as the Hailea Small Air Pump, and drop the stone to the bottom of the tank. A flat round stone spreads the bubbles over a wider area than the golf ball.

Questions
Why does a hydroponic tank need an air stone?
It keeps the nutrient solution full of oxygen, which roots need. That helps prevent the stale, airless conditions that lead to root rot.
Do I need an air pump as well?
Yes. The stone only spreads the air; a pump supplies it, through airline.
