How to use
A contactor lets a small timer switch a big load. The timer switches the contactor, and the contactor switches the lights, so the heavy current never passes through the timer.
- Plug your lights into the contactor's sockets.
- Plug the contactor's timer lead into your timer.
- Set the timer to your light schedule and power everything up.
Check the total load of your lights against the rating on the unit, and have an electrician check the supply circuit for a large room. A segmental timer such as the Optimum timer is all you need to drive it.
