How to use

Hang the Rhino Pro 250/600 filter high in the tent and connect it to the intake side of the fan. Run the 250 mm acoustic ducting from the fan's outlet to where the air is to leave, and tighten a jubilee clip over each joint; the cable ties help hold the ducting in place. Plug the fan in with the 5 m power lead. Keep the duct run short with as few bends as you can: every bend cuts the airflow.

Questions

Is the carbon filter big enough for the fan?

They are a close pair. The filter is rated at 1,420 m³/h, a little below the fan's 1,500 m³/h. A fan's rating is measured with nothing attached; once the filter and ducting are fitted the real airflow is lower.

What size tent does this kit suit?

Work it out from the airflow: the fan is rated at 1,500 m³/h. Our fan sizing guide shows the airflow each tent size needs, with the allowance for the filter and ducting.

What does the acoustic ducting do?

It works as a baffle: the fan noise is deadened as the air travels along it, so the kit runs quieter than one with plain ducting.
