How to use
Add Pro Balance to the nutrient solution to bring the pH up and keep it steady, so the plant can take up the feed. In Athena's Pro feed chart it is the pH up for advanced irrigation systems such as Netaflex. For batch tanks and Dosatron, Athena use the Blended Line Balance instead.
Athena's pH targets are 5.8 to 6.2 in coco or rockwool and 6.0 to 6.4 in peat-based mixes through veg and flower. Mix in all the fertilisers and additives first, then adjust the pH last. A pH meter is a must. The full programme is in the Athena feed chart.

What is the difference between Pro Balance and Balance?
Athena use Pro Balance as the pH up for advanced irrigation systems such as Netaflex, and the Blended Line Balance for batch tank mixing and Dosatron.
Why does pH matter so much?
If the pH drifts out of range the plant cannot take up some nutrients, even if they are in the feed. Keeping it steady avoids lockout and the stress that comes with it.
