Dutchpro Feed Chart: Soil and Hydro/Coco A & B Week by Week

This is Dutchpro's own week-by-week feed chart for Dutchpro Original Soil A & B and Dutchpro Original Hydro/Coco A & B, with Dutchpro Take Root, Dutchpro Multi Total, Dutchpro Silica - Von Liebig Special and Dutchpro Explode. It comes in four versions, for soil or for hydroponics and coco, each for hard or soft water; below are the doses in ml per litre, how to mix a feed and where our product pages differ. All ten Dutchpro products we sell are on the chart: shop them in our Dutchpro nutrients section.

Dutchpro feed chart week by week

The chart has two weeks of "VEG PERIOD" for seedlings and cuttings, under 18 hours of light, and eight of "BLOOM PERIOD", under 12 hours, then a flush, when the only product is Dutchpro Keep It Clean. Veg week 1 already takes the same base feed dose as flowering. Our cuttings guide starts feeding once roots show, our sowing seeds guide moves seedlings to a base feed once they are growing away, and in a rich soil a mineral feed usually starts from around 3 or 4 weeks, says our which nutrients guide.

Dutchpro feed chart V25.1, rows shared by all four charts: ml per litre of water, without extra CO2. Dutchpro: "Important: this feed chart is a guideline. It is possible to deviate."

Base feed dose, EC and pH

Each chart gives the base feed as "A & B (each)": a minimum and a maximum ml per litre of each part, in equal amounts. "Keep adding base nutrients until you reach your EC", the header says.

The base feed on each Dutchpro chart: minimum-maximum ml of A, and the same of B, per litre of water; EC and pH as printed.

Leaf Green is sprayed on the leaves, not added to the feed; our plant additives guide says to spray with the lights off. Keep It Clean is most useful where drippers or misters can block, its page says (see our dripper systems guide). Calmag adds calcium and magnesium: with hard tap water and healthy plants, our cal-mag guide says you usually do not need it.

Chart dose or our page's dose?

Dutchpro products we sell, as their product pages describe them: the hard water chart's dose beside our page's, in ml per litre.

How to mix a Dutchpro feed

  1. Silica first, if you use it: its page says any silicon product goes in before any other nutrient, mixed in thoroughly.
  2. Part A, stir, then the same amount of part B, starting at the chart's minimum. Never mix A and B neat.
  3. The week's additives, one at a time, stirring between each.
  4. Check the EC with a pH and EC meter. Below the chart's EC, add more A and B in equal amounts, up to the maximum; above it, add water.
  5. Check the pH last and adjust it a few drops at a time (see our pH and EC meters guide).

Measure doses with a syringe or pipette, not by eye. At 2 ml per litre, a 10 litre can needs 20 ml of each part: one fill of the 20 ml syringe for each, rinsed between products, as its page says.

Quick answers

How do I use Dutchpro Explode?

Add it to the feed. On the chart: 0.5 ml per litre in bloom weeks 3 and 4, 1 ml in weeks 5 and 6, 1.5 ml in weeks 7 and 8, and none in the flush. Our page starts it at 0.5 ml at the start of flowering, rising gradually to 1.5 ml, and says you need no separate PK booster with it (see our PK boosters guide).

When do I switch from Grow to Bloom?

When you change the light from 18 hours to 12, which is bloom week 1 on the chart. Our pages say Grow through the vegetative stage, then Bloom for flowering, so if you veg for longer than two weeks, stay on Grow until you change the light.

Which chart for hard or soft water?

The hard water chart for your medium: we only sell the hard water versions of the two base feeds. The RO/SO soft water charts are for Dutchpro's soft water versions, so with soft or RO water (our reverse osmosis guide shows how to tell), ask us before you order, or see our which nutrients guide for feeds that suit soft water.
