Description
CANNA Aqua Clay Pebbles, are expanded clay pellets.
This substrate is perfect for use in flood & drain systems as well as drip-recirculating systems. Their free-draining characteristics mean they are only suited for automated, recirculating systems when employed as the sole growing medium. Clay pebbles are commonly used in the bottom of pots with soil and coco-grown plants to improve drainage and aeration. In fact, a 30mm to 50mm layer of clay pebbles is essential in the bottom of Autopots for successful growing.
Available in 20l and 45l bags.

How to use
Clay pebbles drain freely, so used on their own as the growing medium they suit automated, recirculating systems such as flood and drain, fed with a recirculating nutrient such as Canna Aqua.
In soil and coco, a layer in the bottom of the pot improves drainage and air at the roots. In an Autopot a 30 to 50 mm layer in the bottom of each pot is essential.
Questions
Can I use clay pebbles on their own in a hand-watered pot?
They are only suited to automated, recirculating systems when used as the only medium, because they drain so freely. In hand-watered pots use them as a drainage layer under soil or coco.
How much do I need in an Autopot?
A layer of 30 to 50 mm in the bottom of each pot.
