Description
Formulated to provide a stable pH, Canna Aqua is specifically designed to work in re-circulating hydroponic systems such as NFT tanks and flood and drain set-ups.
Because the plants are in constant contact with the nutrient solution, and not all nutrients are absorbed at the same rate, the composition of the solution will change over time.
Canna Aqua has been designed to allow for this and also contains buffering agents to maintain the pH levels once they have been set. It also works well with both hard and soft water.
As with all Canna nutrients, there can be a tendency for plants to lock-up if you havent got everything right, but overall this is a great nutrient and a popular choice.

How to use
In a recirculating system the plant sits in the feed all the time and takes up some nutrients faster than others, so the solution changes as it goes. Aqua is made to allow for that, and its buffers keep the pH steady once you have set it.
- Add A to the tank and stir or run the pump, then add B. Never mix A and B together neat.
- Use Aqua Vega from rooting to the end of the vegetative phase: 21 to 28 ml of each part per 10 litres for the first five days, 25 to 32 ml to day 25, then 28 to 36 ml for two weeks.
- Switch to Aqua Flores from week 3: 30 to 38 ml of each part per 10 litres to week 6, then 26 to 34 ml in weeks 7 and 8.
- Top up and check the EC and pH every day or two.
CANNA's Aqua schedule assumes soft starting water, at EC 0.2. As with all Canna feeds it is possible to lock up a plant if you get it wrong, so start at the low end. The doses by week and the EC to aim for are in the Canna Aqua feed chart. Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles are the usual medium in flood and drain systems.
Questions
Can I use Canna Aqua in a run-to-waste system?
Aqua is made for systems where the feed runs back to the tank. For run-to-waste on rockwool, clay pebbles or perlite, CANNA make Canna Hydro.
Does it work with hard water?
Yes. Canna Aqua works with both hard and soft water.
Do I need Aqua Vega and Aqua Flores?
Yes, to take a plant through to flowering: Vega for growth, Flores for flowering. CANNA's schedule switches in week 3.
