Description

The Eco Grow 240 Filter is a 2 stage water filter that delivers approx. 240 litres per hour of chlorine free, low contaminant water. These filters do not have a reverse osmosis membrane so do not lower the EC of the water, but they do filter out allot of the unwanted elements you find in UK tap water.

This filter effectively removes:

Chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust, oxidation herbicides and pesticides, Volatile Organic Contaminants (Chemical Contaminants, Benzenes, Toluene, Oils, THMs, Detergents, PCBs).

There are three main benefits to be had from this range of water filters from Growmax:

  • The quick and effective removal of chlorine from your water supply. For systems that are using beneficial bacteria and micro-organisms chlorine should be avoided, these filters make sure that all of the water you deliver to your root zone is not going to cause any problems.
  • Removal of Volatile organic Contaminants (Chemical Contaminants, Benzenes, Toluene, Oils, THMs, Detergents, PCBs).
  • Sediment removal.

The filters on the Eco Grow 240 last for around 12,000 litres or 6 months, the replacements are listed in the dropdown above.

How to use

Connect the filter to your cold mains supply and fill your tank or reservoir from it. It takes out chlorine straight away, so there is no waiting for it to gas off, which matters if you use beneficial bacteria or microbes. Add a float valve kit to stop the flow when the tank is full.

This filter does not lower EC. If your tap water is hard or you want to start from near-zero EC, choose a reverse osmosis filter such as the Power Grow 500. Larger 2-stage filters: Garden Grow 480, Super Grow 800 and Pro Grow 2000.

Questions

Does the Eco Grow 240 lower the EC of my water?

No. It has no reverse osmosis membrane, so dissolved salts stay in. It removes chlorine, sediment and chemical contaminants.

How often do I change the filters?

Around every 12,000 litres or 6 months. The replacement pack is in the options above.
