Description
The Growmax Super Grow 800 Filter is a 2 stage water filter that delivers approx. 800 litres per hour of chlorine free, low contaminant water. These filters do not have a reverse osmosis membrane so do not lower the EC of the water, but they do filter out allot of the unwanted elements you find in UK tap water.

Using eco-friendly coconut fibres with increased absorption capacity, the system effectively removes up to 95% of:
Chlorine, salts, heavy metals, chloramines, nitrates, nitrites. Sediment; dirt, rust, oxidation. Herbicides, pesticides, volatile organic contaminants (VOCs - chemical contaminants, benzenes, toluene, oils, THMs, detergents and PCBs).
For systems that are using beneficial bacteria and micro-organisms chlorine should be avoided - these filters make sure that all of the water you deliver to your root zone is not going to cause any problems.
The filters on the Super Grow 800 last for around 27,000 litres or 6 months. We list the replacements in the dropdown above, along with a replacement membrane - this will need changing approx. every 9 months. How to use
The filter comes ready to use. Connect it to the cold mains with the 6 mm pipe and fittings and fill your tank or reservoir from it. It needs no electricity and no minimum water pressure. Add a float valve kit to stop the flow when the tank is full.
It removes chlorine, which matters if you use beneficial bacteria or microbes, but it does not lower EC. For low-EC water choose a reverse osmosis filter such as the Growmax 3000. See all water filtration.

Does the Super Grow 800 need mains pressure or power?
No. It needs no electricity and has no minimum pressure.
Will it lower the EC of tap water?
No. It has no reverse osmosis membrane, so it does not take out dissolved salts. It removes chlorine, sediment and chemical contaminants.
