How to use
Pick the size for the volume of your tank, from the list above. Set the temperature and put the heater in the nutrient solution. It is shatter-proof and will not break if dropped or left half in and half out of the water.
Aim for a solution temperature of 18 to 21°C. If your tank runs too warm instead, a Hailea water chiller cools it. See also pumps and aeration.
Questions
Which size heater do I need?
Go by your tank volume: 25W for 20 to 25 litres, up to 150W for 200 to 300 litres.
Is it safe if it comes out of the water?
It is shatter-proof and has an automatic safety shut-off, so it will not break if it ends up half in and half out of the water.
