Description
The Growmax 3000 Reverse Osmosis Filter is a 3 stage RO filter that can deliver up-to 125 litres per hour of low EC, nearly pure water - total output of the filter is up-to 3000 litres per day.
- Removes up-to 95% of potentially harmful contaminants
- Reduces water hardness, giving increased control when feeding
- Effective for around 40,000L, or around 6 months
- RO water allows beneficial soil biota to flourish
Using eco-friendly coconut fibres with increased absorption capacity, the system effectively removes up to 95% of:
Chlorine, salts, heavy metals, chloramines, nitrates, nitrites. Sediment; dirt, rust, oxidation. Herbicides, pesticides, volatile organic contaminants (VOCs - chemical contaminants, benzenes, toluene, oils, THMs, detergents and PCBs).
Using RO water has a number of benefits - Firstly, removing the chlorine and other contaminants lets the soil biota flourish, especially if you are using bacterial or microbial additives. This ensures optimal nutrient uptake, keeping plants happy and thriving. RO water also delivers a stable pH of around 6.5, a good starting point for most plants. Thirdly, RO water allows for more precise control of fertilization by removing the background EC of your tap water, enabling you to deliver your plants a more balanced nutrient solution.
The filters on the Growmax 3000 last for around 40,000 litres or 6 months. We list the replacements in the dropdown above, along with a replacement membrane - this will need changing approx. every 9 months. Other accessories available include a float switch and booster pump for use where the input to the RO filter is less than 40 psi. Using 6mm piping and fittings, the Growmax 3000 Reverse Osmosis Filter outputs up-to 3000L/day, however if this does not quite meet your needs, please check out our full range of water filtration options here. Recommended.

How to use
Connect the system to your cold mains supply with the 6 mm pipe and fittings, and run the output into a tank. It needs at least 40 psi; if your pressure is lower, add a booster pump. A float valve kit shuts the supply off when the tank is full.
Change the filters about every 6 months (40,000 litres) and the membrane about every 9 months.
RO water has almost no background EC, so you set the strength of the feed yourself. Check it with a pH and EC meter. For smaller set-ups see the Mega Grow 1000 and Power Grow 500.
