Description

**Please Note: The manufacturer is in the process of changing the colour of these pots from Black to Taupe (A greyish brown) - The Taupe pots are made from recycled material, and are themselves fully recyclable**

These plastic plant pots are ideal for maximising plant numbers in smaller spaces in the early stages of the plant's development. A couple of sizes of square to round pots will see the plant through from cuttings/seedlings to their final pot size. They're durable and suitable for anyone's budget.

  • Space-Efficient Square Base: The square base allows pots to sit closely together, making the most of your growing area—ideal for tight spaces or large numbers of plants.
  • Round Opening for Root Health: The rounded top encourages natural root growth, providing ample room for roots to spread and reducing root crowding.
  • Durable and Weather-Resistant: Made from sturdy, weatherproof materials that can withstand outdoor conditions and frequent watering, ensuring long-term use.
  • Promotes Healthier Drainage: Equipped with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, helping prevent root rot and keeping plants healthy.
  • Perfect for Indoor and Outdoor Setups: Versatile design works well in greenhouses, grow rooms, or outdoor gardens, making them suitable for a variety of plants.
  • Easy to Handle and Move: Lightweight and durable, these pots are easy to lift and rearrange, giving you flexibility in your growing setup.

There are lots of opinions out there as to whether square or round pots are best, in reality when you are just using them to pot your young plants on until they have developed a good root structure for the final pot, the shape of the interim pots is not going to make or break the final result.

We like these because they save space when the plants are very small and provide a nice, easy release on reducing damage to the roots on transplanting (at which point we always recommend a mycorrhizal product such as Intense Granules or Mykos).

How to use

Use these for potting young plants on, from cuttings or seedlings up to their final pot. A couple of sizes will take a plant from cutting or seedling to its final pot.

The square bases sit tight together, so you fit more plants in a small space while they are young. The pots release the root ball easily when you pot on, and we recommend a mycorrhizal product such as Psycho Myco at each move.

Stand them on a garden tray to catch the run-off. Final-size pots are in plastic plant pots, and there is a comparison in our pots guide.

Questions

Square or round pots: which is better?

For pots you only use to bring young plants on, the shape makes little difference. Square bases save space while the plants are small.

What colour are the pots?

The maker is changing them from black to taupe, a greyish brown. The taupe pots are made from recycled material and are recyclable.

Are they easy to pot on from?

Yes. The root ball slides out easily, which limits root damage when you transplant.
